F.A.Q on Brick and Stone Cleaning
Why is it important to maintain stone or brickwork?
The exterior of your property gives a first impression but most importantly, clean brick/stonework helps your property to breath, especially if its painted which can cause damp issues. My advice.... never paint stone or brickwork!
What is your stone and brick cleaning process?
That depends on the type of stone or brickwork to be cleaned, and also if its painted or just grimy. We clean by either blast cleaning using Olivine abrasive or chemical cleaning using Hydrofluoric acid. A site visit is required to determine the best way forward.
Can you remove paint from stone or brick?
Yes we can, it depends on the type of brick/stonework and how thick/type of paint needs removing that will determine the process of removal. A site visit will be required and maybe a sample area carried out.
Will the cleaning process cause damage to my windows, doors etc.?
No... before we carry out the cleaning, all windows, doors etc will be fully protected by ourselves by means of sheeting and /or hardboard. You are in safe hands.
Is the cleaning process bad for the environment?
No, all abrasive and chemicals used in the cleaning process are approved, all relevant paperwork COSHH, risk assessments etc. are available on request.
